Manor Bridge near Edinburgh Scotland by matapult

Finally the sun came out, but I overexposed it. Photoshopped the hell out of it with the RAW processing dialog and it looks rather nice.

Oh, and its Manor Bridge near Edinburgh

I can now play “bitches ain’t shit” ( pretty much just C Am Em with the odd G thrown in ). Despite being the world’s most gloriously offensive song, its lyrics are quite perceptive and (the Ben Folds version) is fun to play. Check it out here and here on youtube.

But pretty nonetheless. /ck/ were doing a thread on aesthetic foods and this cropped up. Kudos to the photographer.

VBS, a quasi-indie television producer has some really interesting documentaries on its site. By interesting, I mean that waking up at 1pm then watching a documentary filmed in North Korea followed by one in Liberia is a bit of a mindfuck.

They flew to North Korea from Shenyang in China, and somehow managed to film around the place. Many people would describe it as terrifying. I just found it very strange. Its easy to criticise other countries, but its all relative. Would I have the balls to rise up in an armed struggle to get rid of New Labour? Probably not.

Below the videos are more  – on everything from Liberian ex-Warlords to how to buy a nuclear warhead in Bulgaria. The Liberian one was too depressing so I stopped half way through the first part. It surprises me that there are still any intelligent articulate people left in the country, such as the journalist they met.

I’d love to do some investigative photojournalism like this, but alot of it requires having a tip-off about something that hasn’t really been reported yet.

I’ll find something.
